Little Millet Sweet Appam - Saamai Kandarappam

Little Millet (Saamai) is one of the healthiest Millets with lot of nutrients. This sweet appam is a popular Chettinad variety and following are the steps to make this.

Ingredients:

  • Little Millet - 2 Cups 
  • Urad Dal - 3/4 Cup
  • Coconut (Grated) - 1 Cup
  • Jaggery - 1 Cup
  • Moong Dal - 1 Spoon
  • Fenugreek - 1 Spoon
  • Channa Dal - 1 Spoon
  • Cardamom - 2 to 3
  • Salt - to taste 

Steps:

  1. Soak All the Little Millet, Dals and Fenugreek for at least 2 hrs
  2. Grind all the soaked ingredients along with Coconut, Cardamom, Salt and Jaggery.
  3. Cook as shown in the video.
