Kodo Millet (Varagu) is a nutrient rich millet and a very good source of fiber and other minerals. 

This recipe gives the details of making delicious Idly and Dosa using Kodo Millet.


  • Kodo Millets - 3 Cups
  • Urad dal - 1 Cup
  • Red Rice Flacks - 1 Cup


  1. Soak Urad dhal and Kodo Millet for at least 4 hrs
  2. Add the Rice flakes 10 mins before grinding
  3. Grind all the items
  4. Let the batter ferment for 8 hours

Make Idli and Dosa as shown in the video.
